After a vicious wreck in yesterday’s Aaron’s 312 Eric McClure was sent to UAB Medical Center via helicopter after being unable to exit his car after the wreck. Safety workers had to cut McClure out of the car from the hood and transport him on a stretcher to the ambulance and eventually the hospital. As of last night McClure was alert and conscious with no major injury. McClure was kept at UAB Medical Center overnight for further observations. The one key aspect that saved McClure from any major injury was the safer-barrier protected back-strech wall. The safer-barrier did its job in absorbing the energy transmitted from the incident and protected the No.14 car from any major damage.
