On-Track Racing Schedule for Richmond

The Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series roll into Richmond, Virginia for a big weekend of racing. The Sprint Cup Series will finalize their Chase field Saturday Night in Richmond. Six drivers have a mathematical chance of making the Chase in the final wild card spot. Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards, Marcos Ambrose, Ryan Newman and Joey Logano can all win the race and get in the Chase as the final wild card driver. The September Richmond race always provides fireworks but with so many drivers attempting to get one spot in the Chase, it will be pure craziness Saturday Night in Richmond. \

The Nationwide Series comes off a wild finish at Atlanta to the short track in Richmond, Virginia that always provides excitement. Last week’s race had a great finish where Ricky Stenhouse Jr passed Kevin Harvick on the last lap for the win. The field in Friday night’s Nationwide Race includes young guns and veterans.
