I reached out to some of my twitter followers who attended the Nationwide Race Saturday afternoon and below, they share their thoughts on the horrific last lap crash.
Davey Segal (@harvicknut29)
“Smoke, carnage and then the actual Smoke (Tony Stewart) winning. It was all a blur. It was spectacular but scary at the same time.”
Dontae Allen (@Dontae_Allen)
“It’s hard to tell what happened, it was so fast. I just looked up and saw the 32 (car) on his side and into the fence. Then Sadler and the 2 others were wrecking near the pits. Complete chaos!!!”
Todd McMillan (@ToddMcMillan18)
“All I saw was the #7 (Regan Smith) get turned sideways and after that it was just mayhem. The frontstretch in front of us was just covered in debris.”
Mike Helton speaks to the media; we will update you with more information. At this time, the only thing to do is send prayers to the fans and family members of the injured fans.
