In the inaugural NASCAR night race at Kansas Speedway, Kyle Busch put on quite the show. He led 104 laps in route to his first career NCWTS win at the track.

He began the race from the pole and led early despite numerous caution periods that occurred in the first 35 laps.

The biggest challenges Busch faced throughout the night came from Brad Keselowski Racing. Joey Logano had a very strong truck, but he could not manage to hold off the No.51 truck for long. Logano’s teammate Ryan Blaney also gave Busch a run for his money on multiple restarts.

Both Logano and Blaney were running one-two around Lap 84. That soon changed on Lap 85 when Blaney was involved in a violent turn 2 wreck.

While Blaney was contesting Logano for the top spot, he got loose and slid up the track and spun out. The wreck took a turn for the worse when the truck’s of Johnny Sauter and Tyler Young went high and ran right into the No.29 truck. All drivers were okay following the incident.

Busch’s time at the front came in varying portions of the race, but once the finished neared, he was pacing the field. He took over the lead for the final time with 21 laps remaining.

“I’m a winner at Kansas” Busch told FOX Sports in a surprised tone. He has struggle mightily at the speedway in the past so the win must boost his confidence.

Notable performances by series regulars came from Martinsville winner Matt Crafton and Tayler Malsam. Crafton finished second and became the new point’s leader. Malsam placed fifth in his first start of the season.

The Camping World Truck Series will be back in action next Friday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.
