Explaining the Chase Format

The 2015 Chase for the Sprint Cup and Challenger Round will kick-off at Chicagoland Speedway in just a couple of days.

As the 16 nations prepare for battle, fans are gearing up for another thrilling ten weeks of competition. After making a successful debut last fall, the new Chase format is back this post-season. The potential for more game changing crashes, dramatic fights, and close finishes has the sport stirring with anticipation ahead of the next ten weeks.

The system produced incredible racing each week last season. However, the format requires some adjusting to.
